Come si gioca: Seleziona una tra le liste di parole disponibili. Ogni lista contiene parole dai suoni simili. Clicca su ciascuna parola per ascoltarne il suono. Una volta ascoltate tutte le parole, clicca sulla freccia verde e inizia il gioco. Dopo aver ascoltato il suono, clicca sulla parola corrispondente. Se sbagli sentirai "uh-oh" e vedrai una faccia triste. Non ti scoraggiare e prova di nuovo.
Che cosa si impara: >Quest’attività aiuta gli alunni ad abituarsi al suono delle lettere. E’ particolarmente utile per i lettori principianti o per gli alunni che stanno imparando una lingua con un alfabeto diverso da quello della loro lingua madre. (Non si tratta di un esercizio di vocabolario: nessuna figura accompagna le parole. L’alunno deve affidarsi solo all’ascolto per poter dare la risposta esatta).
Ottieni il massimo da quest’attività: Ripeti i suoni che ascolti. Esercitati con tutte le liste di parole.
Attività di gruppo: Dividi i bambini in squadre. Scrivi la lista delle parole sulla lavagna. Ogni squadra deve scrivere le parole su un foglio a parte in lettere grandi. (Ogni componente della squadra può scrivere una parola). Di’ le parole in modo casuale. La prima squadra che dà la risposta esatta ottiene un punto. Una volta terminato il gioco e proclamata la squadra vincitrice, fai nuove squadre o gioca ancora con una serie diversa di parole. Fai in modo che le squadre siano composte da giocatori diversi, dividendoli in base a categorie specifiche: tutti quelli che indossano una maglietta rossa, persone il cui nome comincia con la "L", ecc.
How to play: Select one of the lists of words. Each list of words has words with a similar sound. Click on each word to hear the sound. When you have listened to each word, click the green arrow to start the game. As each word is spoken click the word that you hear. If you make a mistake you will hear the "uh-oh" sound and see a sad face. Try again.
What is learned: This activity helps the student become familiar with the sounds of the letters. This is especially useful for begriming readers, or students who are learning a language with a different alphabet than the one in their first language. (This is not a vocabulary drill: no pictures accompany the words. The student must rely on listening to get the correct answer.) Getting the most out of the activity: Repeat the sounds as you click each word. Try each list of words.
Group activities: Divide the children into teams. Write the list of words on the board. Each team has to write each word on a separate piece of paper in big letters. (Each child on a team can write one of the words.) Say the words randomly. The first team to hold up the correct answer gets a point. After one team wins, make new teams, or play again with a different set of words. You make make sure that the teams have different players by dividing them up by different categories. Everyone who has a red shirt, people whose name starts with "L", etc.
