How to play: Click any of the pictures to hear the word. When you think you know the words, click either the first arrow or the second arrow.
The first arrow lets you take as long as you want to find the picture and try as many times as necessary.
The second arrow gives you just one chance to find the picture.
The third arrow makes the game timed: you have to answer quickly to claim the square.
Listen to the word that is spoken, then click a matching square. If there are two matching squares click the one that helps you to get 5 in a row. When you get 5 in a row, either up, down, or diagonally, you win. You can click one of the arrows to play again.
What is learned: This activity helps the student learn vocabulary. When you play with the timer, you do not have time to mentally translate the words to your native language. You have to think in the language that you are learning. Getting the most out of the activity: Say the words as you click each picture. Play with the timer to force yourself to think in the language you are learning. Group activities: Print out the page, then click your browsers refresh button to rearrange the pictures. Print out enough pages for all of the students, and another to cut up. Cut up one of the pages into squares and put the pieces in a paper bag. One child gets to draw a picture out of the bag and say the word that matches the picture. Don't let the other students see the picture that is selected, they have to mark the square based on the word they hear.
Come si gioca: Clicca su ciascuna figura e ascolta le parole corrispondenti. Una volta imparate tutte le parole, clicca sulla prima o sulla seconda freccia. La prima freccia ti consente di prenderti tutto il tempo che vuoi per trovare la figura corrispondente alla parola pronunciata, senza limite di tentativi. Con la seconda freccia, invece, hai una sola possibilità di trovare le figure. La terza freccia mette alla prova la tua velocità: giocherai a tempo e dovrai rispondere rapidamente per poter vincere il riquadro. Ascolta la parola e clicca sul riquadro corrispondente. Quando i riquadri corrispondenti sono due, clicca su quello che ti aiuterà a ottenere una fila di 5. Una volta ottenuta la fila, che sia dall’alto verso il basso, da sinistra a destra o in diagonale, avrai vinto. Per giocare di nuovo, clicca su una delle frecce.
Che cosa si impara: Questa attività aiuta gli alunni ad accrescere il loro vocabolario. Quando giochi a tempo, non avrai tempo di tradurre mentalmente le parole nella tua lingua madre, ma dovrai pensarle nella lingua che stai imparando.
Ottieni il massimo da questa attività: Pronuncia le parole quando clicchi su ciascuna figura. Gioca a tempo e cerca di sforzarti a pensare nella lingua che stai imparando.
Attività di gruppo: Stampa la pagina del gioco e clicca sul pulsante del browser ‘aggiorna’ per mescolare le figure. Avrai bisogno di tante stampe quanti sono gli alunni, più una da ritagliare. Ritaglia quest’ultima in riquadri, che verranno in seguito messi in una sacchetto. A questo punto scegli un bambino per estrarre dal sacchetto un riquadro e invitalo a dire il nome della figura. Prova a fare in modo che gli altri alunni non vedano la figura scelta e che facciano una croce sul riquadro corrispondente alla parola che hanno ascoltato.
