Organization of the Hello-World Website

In the top left corner is a picture of the world. Click this to go to the index page.

Along the top there are links to computer science and all of the languages.

Along the left hand edge there is a link to login. After you login this will change to logoff. If you are taking a class there will be a "school" link. Registering and logging in allows you to track what activities you have done. Teachers may use this list of activities that you have done.

Below the login section there are links to a few of the most popular topics and general information.

After you select a language:

If you have selected a language, there will be a "Find Fast" menu under the login section. This links to all of the sections for that language: Conversations, Lessons, BINGO, etc. Under "find fast" there are links with pictures to make it easier for children to navigate.

At the top of the main part of the page you will see a vocabulary button , this links to the vocabulary by category. After you click this link you will see pictures of all the categories.
Clicking one of these pictures, African animals, for instance will take you to a page with all of the African animals with pictures and sound . Click the sound button to hear the word pronounced by a native speaker.

Next to the vocabulary button, you will see the alphabet for that language. Clicking one of the letters takes you to the picture dictionary with all of the words that begin with that letter. Click one of these words to see a picture and hear the word. If a words has (v.) next to it, it is a verb. Click this link to see the verb conjugated in many tenses with a sample sentence and picture.
